Fine Art & Professional Custom Framing
Hausmann Studio opened in 2003 as Fairfield’s first art studio, gallery and frame shop. Diane has been framing almost as long as she has been painting. She will help you make decisions in designing the perfect frame for your art piece. It could be anything from original art, a limited edition print, needle work, or other personal treasures. A frame should be designed to present, preserve and protect the art or object within. The goal is to present and enhance the artwork.
You will be impressed with the selection of frame moldings. Many wood moldings are made here in Montana. We have everything from elegant gold or silver moldings to clean contemporary designs and traditional western moldings. There is a moulding for every decor. We have a wonderful selection of mats including paper, cotton, linens and faux suede in a vast selection of colors.
There are several types of glazing (glass) to finish your piece just the way you like. Prints on paper such as lithographs, intaglio, or hand pulled prints should have glazing to protect it from environmental hazards. Acrylic glazing is available for those larger pieces this keeps the weight of the frame lighter. Acrylic glazing has made great improvements these last years. Of course, original art on paper like watercolor paintings, graphite (pencil) drawings, pastel paintings should be protected with conservation matting and glazing.
On the other hand, if you have an original oil or acrylic painting it will not need glass, neither will a canvas transfer print. Be sure to check out the customer projects page to see the various items she has framed for her customers.
